Volkswagen Tiguan: the lowdown
Volkswagen is going Freelander hunting with its new Golf-based Tiguan off-roader. Unveiled at the Los Angeles Motorshow this morning, Concept Tiguan gives a nine-tenths preview of what the production-ready Tiguan will look like when it arrives here in January 2008. It will initially arrive with a choice of front or all-wheel-drive, four engines – two petrol and two advanced ‘Clean TDI’ diesel units – and six-speed manual or DSG transmission.

Rolls-Royce today confirmed a new, eighth model range - a convertible due to join the Phantom, Ghost and Wraith in mid-2016. Goodwood is being tight-lipped on the exact identity of the new Rolls, but CAR can confirm it is the Wraith convertible. Not that Rolls-Royce would do anything as vulgar as call it that; expect a new name.
This insane creation is Aston Martin's 100th birthday present to itself. Christened the CC100 Speedster, the one-off concept hints at future design details for production Astons. And there I was thinking all Astons look the same...
